Jose decided to study law in the interest of promoting fairness. “Law does tend toward that,” he said. “It makes me kind of angry when things aren’t fair.”
The symposium will include a keynote, presentations and panel discussions designed to examine the impact of Jim Crow laws, hate-based crimes and the journey to justice.
The initiative recognizes institutions that planned and implemented practices to encourage students to register and vote in the 2022 and future elections.
