The Women's Center empowers students to find their voices by promoting personal and professional development and celebrating the strengths and aspirations of women. Through structured "edutainment," we focus on managing healthy relationships and women's unique leadership experiences in society.

Student Counseling Center

The Counseling Center has licensed mental health professionals dedicated to supporting the social, emotional, intellectual, and personal needs of all NCCU students.

Campus Police

The campus police are dedicated to providing a safe and secure environment within which students, faculty, and staff can live, learn, and work.

Student Health Center

The Student Health Center provides a comprehensive approach to meeting the health needs of NCCU students.

Office of Student Rights and Responsibilities

The Office of Student Rights and Responsibilities handles the administration of the Student Conduct Process while also fostering students' growth, awareness, and understanding of their rights and responsibilities as community members.

Durham Crisis Response Center

 The Durham Crisis Response Center, which focuses on ending domestic and sexual violence, offers a 24-hour crisis line for the community.

Duke Hospital Emergency Department

The Duke Hospital Emergency Department offers a variety of emergency services that are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Durham County Police Dept.

The Durham County Police Department helps protect the lives and property of Durham residents.

Durham Regional Hospital

Durham Regional Hospital is a general-services hospital serving the Durham community.

Annie Day Shepard Scholars

The Annie Day Shepard Scholars Program supports undergraduate women in becoming engaged, confident, and connected leaders at NC Central and beyond. The program is open to first-generation undergraduate women, including those who transfer into the university with less than 30 credit hours.

Consent Week

Each year, the Women's Center hosts a week full of events to discuss sexual empowerment and consent and to raise awareness around sexual violence.

Denim Day

Denim Day

The Women's Center also encourages students, faculty, and staff to participate in Denim Day, an international social movement in which participants wear jeans as a sign of protest against victim blaming.

The Women's Center offers many community service opportunities via affiliated organizations.

I'm Every Woman Annual Expo and Symposium

The Women's Center hosts this annual exposition and symposium to empower and encourage young women. The business exposition features students, faculty/staff, and community entrepreneurs and small business owners encouraging entrepreneurship among young women on campus. The day concludes with a powerful symposium featuring a keynote speaker. Past speakers include Angela Rye, Niya Brown-Matthews, Tracy Mosley, and Shayla Hebron.
