Student Counseling Center

Student Conduct and Community Standards handles the administration of the Student Conduct Process while also fostering students' growth, awareness, and understanding of their rights and responsibilities as community members. Dean of Students

The Dean of Students is your campus advocate, providing assistance when it comes to managing crises, understanding campus policies and procedures, and connecting you with the proper university resources.

Durham Crisis Response Center

The Durham Crisis Response Center, which focuses on ending domestic and sexual violence, offers a 24-hour crisis line for the community. Reach the Durham Crisis Response Center at 919-403-6562.

Programs

Annie Day Shepard Scholars

The Annie Day Shepard Scholars Program supports undergraduate women in becoming engaged, confident, and connected leaders at NC Central and beyond. The program is open to first-generation undergraduate women, including those who transfer into the university with less than 30 credit hours.

Consent Week

Each year, the Women's Center hosts a week full of events to discuss sexual empowerment and consent and to raise awareness around sexual violence.

Denim Day

The Women's Center also encourages students, faculty, and staff to participate in Denim Day, an international social movement in which participants wear jeans as a sign of protest against victim blaming.
