Greetings Eagle Family!

On behalf of the North Carolina Central University Student Government Association, we would like to welcome you to North Carolina Central University where Eagle Excellence is our standard. The Student Government Association (SGA) looks forward to building relationships, embracing students from various backgrounds and providing endless opportunities for students to leave their mark as we prepare them to be 21st century global leaders. I hope you are prepared for a spectacular year as we rebuild and rebrand the student experience for YOU!

The goal of the Hopkins–Parker Administration for the 2017-18 academic school year to is to serve as the voice of every student. We are committed to advocating on your behalf and being a voice for you as we work with the University administrators on issues that affect issues related to education, campus life, social topics and the career development of the students at NCCU.

The SGA vision this year is to redefine Eagle Excellence and enhance what it means to be an Eagle while receiving an education at this institution. We hope to bring a refreshing and much needed change to the Student Government Association by advocating for the entire student body, and building genuine relationships with fellow Eagles. We hope to apply the pressure to improve NCCU in the areas of dining, housing, security, academic affairs, campus morale, senate funding, and other topics that aim to revitalize the overall culture of the university.

The SGA will remain focused on the University’s motto of “Truth and Service” as well as uphold this administration’s theme of “Apply the Pressure for The Culture.” All we ask in return is that you trust and support us as we strive towards showcasing NCCU as a top-tier institution.
