Health Professions Career Center & A.T. Still University Programs

The A.T. Still University-Arizona School of Health Sciences Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies (ATSU-ASHS MSPA) Still Scholars program provides outstanding sophomore-level undergraduate students the opportunity to reserve early conditional admission to the ATSU-ASHS MSPA program. The program selects qualified applicants who share the common goal of becoming a physician assistant (PA). Students who meet the application requirements may apply.

The Still Scholars program engages students in professional, academic and leadership skills development while allowing them to focus on their undergraduate experience without the additional pressures of competing for acceptance into a PA program. Those who successfully complete the Still Scholars program pre-matriculation interview and their bachelor’s degree are given a reserved conditional acceptance in the ATSU-ASHS MSPA program. Still University-Arizona School of Health Sciences (ATSU-ASHS) Department of Physician Assistant (PA) Studies is committed to educating a culturally proficient workforce to provide comprehensive healthcare in communities of need. ATSU-ASHS is proud to partner with North Carolina Central University to enhance and facilitate preferred application to ATSU-ASHS’ physician assistant program through its Pipeline to PA (P2P) initiative.

P2P addresses healthcare disparities through the recruitment of underrepresented applicants within medicine and the PA profession. North Carolina Central University-endorsed students who meet all minimum requirements for entry to ATSU’s PA program will receive an automatic admissions interview. An estimated 20% of applicants received an interview in the 2020–2021 applications cycle; therefore, the P2P program provides preferred applicant status to qualified North Carolina Central University applicants.
