This project seeks to implement research-based instructional approaches to improve STEM student outcomes and evidenced-based strategies to prepare and produce competitive, innovative STEM graduates committed to life-long learning. To achieve our goal, we propose developing and implementing a STEM ecosystem in the post-secondary education space of a partnership with the Josephine Dobbs Early-College High School. This ecosystem serves to enhance the participation of minority/low-income undergraduate students in STEM by actively engaging institutional partners in (1) bolstering the recruitment of students into STEM fields of study and (2) advancing the best practices in supporting student persistence.
