Alumna Launches Digital Magazine

Sabrina Seymore

NCCU alumna Sabrina Seymore has launched “The Prevailing Woman,” a digital magazine that promotes professional and personal achievements of women.

In the online magazine, Seymore explores the accomplishments by women of various ethnicities and cultural backgrounds while also promoting women’s empowerment.

The first issue features Olympic gymnast Gabby Douglas, the first African-American woman to win the individual all-around event.

Print editions of the publication will also be offered quarterly.

In 2011, she established her event-planning company, Sabrina Seymore Events. Her services include strategic event planning.

Seymore was also a NCCU Forty Under Forty awardee in Sept. 2016.

She earned a bachelor’s degree in recreation administration from North Carolina Central University. Seymore also holds a master’s from Liberty University.
