About the Men's Achievement Center

North Carolina Central University Men's Achievement Center (MAC) within the Division of Student Affairs is home to a dedicated team of professionals, staff and mentors that is committed to enriching the quality of students' collegiate experience and ensuring their success at NCCU and beyond.

The MAC strives to deliver academic, social and personal support in an inviting environment to any male student at North Carolina Central University. It utilizes an integrated educational approach with an emphasis on research, theory, co-curricular development, and experiential learning, in an effort to increase retention and graduation rates for men at North Carolina Central University.

The center provides sessions with academic success coaches, referrals to on- and off-campus resources, crisis management assistance and community service opportunities. Without a doubt, there is something for everyone affiliated with the MAC, such as mentoring, networking, advising, leadership and training opportunities, professional and personal development, financial literacy and incentives. We hope you will find many ways to participate actively in services offered by the center.

Our mission is to promote academic achievement, social justice, servant leadership, professionalism, and personal success for all North Carolina Central University students while serving as a matrix for learning that supports healthy collegiate male development through awareness, education, and access to resources.
