Details The Scholarship Committee shall determine the recipient(s) and apply the following criteria in its selection process. Recipient(s) must be: 1) Admitted or be eligible for admission to the Teacher Education Program (TEP) at NCCU and have taken and passed the Praxis I exam (or met the equivalent requirements through the SAT or ACT); 2) Current full-time students who are pursuing a teacher education degree at NCCU and maintain a 3.0 grade point average in their respective major; and who 3) Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills; 4) Submit a letter of recommendation from an advisor, instructor, program coordinator or department chair; 5) Reside in North Carolina; 6) Complete an interview with the School of Education dean or his/her designee; and 7) Submit a FAFSA to the NCCU Office of Scholarship and Student Aid.
