Seeking Candidates for SUMMER & FULL-YEAR opportunities with the NC Afterschool Corps and the NC Hunger Corps!

For current students: Our Afterschool Corps SUMMER ASSOCIATES program offers a 9-week AmeriCorps VISTA service experience for college students on summer break. Start date: June 10 / End date: August 11. Apply ASAP. VISTA Summer Associates can do both capacity-building AND direct service work. Summer Associates receive a living stipend and a pro-rated Segal Education Award.

This summer, CNCS will prioritize projects that focus primarily on the following issue areas: • Programming to expand the reach of opioid prevention projects, particularly with youth. • Programming to prevent summer learning loss for students. • Programming to combat hunger and food insecurity, including USDA Summer Food Service Programs and senior meal programs

For graduating seniors and alums: Our Afterschool Corps FULL-YEAR positions are a chance to gain experience leading projects that fight poverty and connect colleges to communities. Full-year members start on July 22 and serve one year. Placements available across the state. Apply ASAP. Learn more.
