What is Dimensions of Learning?

Dimensions of Learning is a first-year-student introductory course designed to educate new students about NCCU’s history and achievements. The course helps students make the best of their college experience and prepares them to achieve personal, social and academic success in the classroom and beyond.  The Dimensions of Learning course covers civic, social, and professional responsibilities; history and heritage of North Carolina Central University; effective communication; career development; critical thinking and problem-solving; information technology; and basic tools of research. Transfer students are exempt from taking Dimensions of Learning if they have completed an associate’s degree, are entering as sophomores with at least a 2.5 GPA from their last institution, or have achieved “career status” (age 24 and above).
