Frequently Asked Questions
How often do I need to see my advisor?

Students should see their advisors as often as needed.  It is recommended that each student meet with his or her advisor at least 3 times per semester -- initially, within the first two weeks of a semester to discuss how classes are going; again, at about the seven-week mark to discuss midterm grades and any steps needed to improve grades, as well as to complete pre-registration activities for the following semester; and lastly, within the final two weeks of the semester to discuss final exams and plan for next semester.

This recommendation is a minimum. Students are welcome at any time to email, call or visit their advisor with concerns.
