How is my class schedule determined?

Frequently Asked Questions
How is my class schedule determined?

New students should meet with their academic advisor during new-student orientation after completing placement testing.  Continuing students should meet with their advisor each semester before pre-registration begins to thoroughly discuss academic and personal progress towards educational goals.  Students should become familiar with all required General Education and major-specific coursework and be knowledgeable about completed courses recorded on their transcript. Advisors will help students register for their schedule by taking into account course requirements, course availability, and personal needs such as work and family obligations.
