Frequently Asked Questions
I've decided not to continue with one of the classes that I registered for. Will I be automatically dropped from this course?

No. Many students make this mistake and discover at the end of the semester that they have made an 'F' in the course. Always drop (if the drop/add deadline has not lapsed) any course you have decided not to take or which you are no longer attending. Otherwise, you must complete a Student-Initiated Withdrawal from the course. You will receive a final grade of 'NW', which will not affect your GPA (grade point average). However, please adhere to deadlines (according to the Academic Calendar) as you may only withdraw during a limited time frame. If you have excessive absences from a course, your instructor can submit a withdrawal form. You will not be automatically dropped from such courses by the instructor or by the system.
