Special Event and Guest Parking Request Form

  • Complete

Purpose: In order to meet the parking demands of our growing campus, a single, unified form has been created to accommodate parking requests for guest parking and special events. This form will help organize both the handling of the requests and the scheduling of the request so that parking is not overburdened at any particular point in time.

Special Event Parking: Special event parking is considered any parking that is requested for five or more vehicles. The process for this system involves the creation of unique passes for specialized events on particular dates for a specific window of time. This is facilitated by Sheri Starks, the parking customer service manager.

Individual Guest Parking: Individual guest parking refers to requests made for one to four vehicles on a specific date and time. This can include parking requested for interviews, guest lecturers, and single-day pre-planned visits to campus departments or entities. These parking passes can be picked up from the Department of Transportation and Parking Services office on the ground floor of the Eagle Landing Residence Hall (408 Brant Street, Durham, NC 27707).

Visitor Spaces: Single-day passes will only be issued on a basis of advanced notice and through the completion of this form. Any visitors that come to campus for a visit without pre-planning will be directed to the metered spaces for parking. Locations of these meters are available on the website and include the ground floor of Latham Parking Deck, the top portion of Eagle Campus Drive, the spaces by the booth at the Shepard Circle, and the Formosa Street church parking lot.

Guests who are visiting specific departments that have visitor spaces at their building (on-site visitor parking) must coordinate with the specific department to obtain a pass for the visitor space.

Fees: The cost per vehicle is $5/day for each pass that is purchased. Departments within NCCU and outside organizations can receive an invoice to pay the Department of Transportation and Parking Services by filling out the form below. If you have any questions regarding this process or you do not receive an email acknowledgment within 24 hours of submitting your request for parking, please contact Sheri Starks at [email protected] or by phone at (919) 530-5023.
