From time to time, we invite undergraduates in psychology, criminal justice and related fields to participate in service learning or community service events with the NCCU Counseling Center staff. These opportunities will be posted on the Academic Community Service Learning website as they come available.

Project Substance Use Choices with Cessation Education and Student Support (SUCCESS) seeks to: prevent underage drinking by educating first-year students through the online Alcohol Edu program; recruit students as peer educators; demonstrate the consequences of binge drinking, underage drinking and alcohol-related sexual assault through an interactive DVD; train the campus community to recognize the signs of alcohol abuse and to assist and rehabilitate students who need alcohol and other drug treatment. NCCU received partial funding from the Durham ABC Board to initiate the Project SUCCESS program in 2009.
