The Eagle Ambassador Program is an elite group of very special, very carefully chosen members. Eagle Ambassadors are comprised of a diverse group of students from a variety of majors and undergraduate classifications. Ambassadors serve the University by aiding in the recruiting efforts and routine affairs of the Undergraduate Admissions Office and other administrative offices as requested. Students receive community service hours in exchange for service rendered.
To voluntarily represent, positively promote, and uphold the university mission of “Truth and Service” in various programs and opportunities throughout the university and the community.
All prospective Ambassadors must complete and satisfy the following requirements to qualify for membership. Qualification for membership includes the following:
Position Title: Eagle Ambassador
Applicant must be a full time NCCU student in good academic and judicial standing. Applicant must have a 2.5 GPA with one recommendation which cannot be provided by anyone from the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. However, recommendations can come from a North Carolina Central University official (i.e. faculty or staff), a mentor, community official, former instructors, etc. who can attest to the applicant’s professionalism, character, communication skills and scholastic ability. A Senior Ambassador is at least a standing junior or senior with two years (four semesters) experience as an Eagle Ambassador. A Senior Ambassador is responsible for conducting tours, speaking with the prospective student(s) about the student life aspect of college, their college experiences and gives them insight on how to take advantages of different student activities opportunity. Also, Senior Ambassadors will have the opportunity to travel with Admissions Counselors to student outreach events.
