First-Year Orientation

New Student Orientation is designed to help ease your transition into college life. During orientation, you will complete many of the steps needed for enrollment such as meeting with an academic advisor, taking your student ID picture and attending educational workshops. You will also have the chance to meet other new Eagles in small groups hosted by our orientation leaders.

2012 Summer Orientation Sessions
All incoming students must attend one of the following orientation sessions:
June 14 - 15
June 21 - 22
June 28 - 29
July 12 - 13
July 19 - 20

Advanced registration is required, and registration occurs on a first-come, first-served basis.

The sessions will begin at 8 a.m. To register for New Student Orientation, you need a MyEOL account. To create an account visit https://webapps.nccu.edu/departments/its/accounts/. Enter the Banner ID number listed on your acceptance letter; it will start with the numbers 820. Your Banner PIN is your birthdate using the two digit month, two digit date and last two digits of your birth year, MMDDYY. Enter your last name as written on your acceptance letter. Then click “verify my information” to complete the registration process.

Once you create an account, log-in from the NCCU homepage. You will then be prompted to register for New Student Orientation.

Cost
New Student Orientation is a two-day, overnight program. The cost for New Student Orientation is $125 per student. This includes five meals, overnight accommodations in Eagleson Residence Hall, orientation materials, and Week of Welcome Programming. The cost is $55 for guests ages 14 and over, $25 for guests ages 9-14, and free for guests under the age of 9. These fees include five meals and orientation materials. All fees are NON-REFUNDABLE.

Optional Overnight Accommodations for Guests
Guests who wish to stay overnight during their student’s orientation program may opt to do so for an additional $50 per room. Guests will stay in Chidley North Residence Hall. Each room has two twin size beds and an individual bathroom.
