After receiving positive feedback, an Inter-divisional Collaboration Committee was established to foster communication on professional development occurring across campus. The over arching goal of this committee is to maximize and energize new and existing relationships, alumni contacts and resources that can support student learning in co-curricular activities. 
 
To support this goal, the following objectives were proposed:

• To augment the collection of internship placement data
• To increase employer relations, alumni contacts, and resources as it pertains to professional development, internships, and full-time opportunities.
• To increase collaboration between academic affairs and student affairs in order to better support faculty in their execution of professional development.
• To identify a professional development institute model that satisfies the charge of the NCCU 2020 Strategic Plan.

The Inter-divisional Collaboration Committee typically meets twice a semester, however, committee members can arrange separate meetings with Career Services and other members to assist in departmental projects or initiatives.
