First-Year Residential Experience

Welcome to the First-Year Residential Experience!

This program is designed to support first-year students living in Eagleson Residence Hall. Through the FYRE students will experience an enhanced, out of the classroom experience that focuses on holistic development of the individual, encourages personal growth, and persistence into their sophomore year.

Students involved in the FYRE will be able to demonstrate an increased competency and awareness in the following areas:

  • Intellectual/academic development
  • Interpersonal skills
  • Personal identity
  • Health and wellness
  • Religious and spiritual dimensions
  • Multiculturism
  • Civic responsibility
  • Career exploration

Throughout the year the FYRE will partner with various offices and programs to bring participants the enriching programming catered just for them.
