Central Receiving

Overview

The Central Receiving Department at NCCU provides innovative and efficient systems to maintain effective custody and control of university property, including items acquired for the university as well as those in transit between departments.

Central Receiving is also responsible for the disposal of the university’s surplus property.

Since time is precious, Central Receiving designs its logistical operations to make sure that every second counts. The department’s commitment to customer service and efficiency makes Central Receiving a vital resource in delivering quality services to students, faculty, staff and administrators at NCCU.

Efforts to improve Central Receiving’s operations and procedures are ongoing.  Comments and suggestions are welcome. Indeed, collaboration between Central Receiving and the university community helps ensure that packages make it from dock to desktop with maximum efficiency.

Headquarters for Central Receiving is at 625 George Street (immediately behind the NCCU Heating Plant, and across the street from the Julius L. Chambers Biomedical Biotechnology Research Institute Building).

Reach Central Receiving by telephone at 919-530-7284.
