Clubs & Organizations Database [COD] Version 1.0:

Release Date: 9/29/2009

New Feature:

Specific Organization Details now appear in the pages' HTML title tags, to increase findability, refined analytics and or Search Engine Optimization.


Initial Release Notes - 5/28/2009 (from NCCU's ITS Web Services' Blog)

What It Is:

NCCU's COD is a centralized database application, a single place for information about all of NCCU’s officially sponsored Clubs and Organizations (primarily, but not necessarily exclusively for Students). The COD also displays the date it was founded, its current President (whose contact info link is automatically created by the application), Faculty Advisor/Department (for whom a contact info link is also automatically generated), Chapter, Colors and a graphic logo or seal (optimally, 200px x 200px). If any of the above details do not exist in the database, it is ignored, thus not displayed in the page.

Usage:

NOTE: By default, organizations that are not associated with a specific Academic or Administrative department are listed under the Department of Student Affairs. Contact them to update and correct your club/organization's data

  • None

Future Considerations:

  • Possibly, allowing Departmental Web Liaisons to directly update the database for those Clubs/Orgs under which fall under their Departmental purview.
