SOAR - Student Orientation

First Year SOAR is designed to help ease your transition into college life as an NCCU Eagle. During orientation, you will complete many of the steps needed for enrollment such as meeting with an academic advisor, taking your student ID picture, and attending educational workshops. You will also have the chance to meet other new Eagles in small groups hosted by our SOAR Leaders.

All first-year, incoming students must attend one of the following sessions:

Date Day of Week
June 21-22 Wednesday-Thursday
June 27-28 Tuesday-Wednesday
July 12-13 Wednesday-Thursday
July 19-20 Wednesday-Thursday
July 26-27 Wednesday-Thursday

Dates will be available for registration beginning February 15, 2017.

To register for New Student Orientation, you need a MyEOL account. To create an account:

  1. Visit www.nccu.edu/myeol.
  2. Enter the Banner ID number listed on your acceptance letter; it will start with the numbers 820. Your Banner PIN is your birthdate using the two digit month, two digit date, and last two digits of your birth year (MMDDYY).
  3. Enter your last name as written on your acceptance letter.
  4. Click “verify my information” to complete the registration process.
  5. Once you create an account, log-in from the NCCU homepage  - www.nccu.edu/myeol

All students must register and pay at least 7 days before the start of the session.

There are no exceptions and walk-ins are not permitted. Students must submit their Enrollment Fee to secure their Orientation session.
