Dr. Rolin Mainuddin, associate professor of political science, has received a $5,000 award from the National Consortium for the Study of Terrorism and Responses to Terrorism (START), University of Maryland. The multiyear award to NCCU is part of an inter-institutional collaborative project, “Religious Identity and the Choice of Non-Violent versus Violent Actions: An Experimental Approach,” with a grant from the Department of Homeland Security. Dr. Mainuddin will develop survey questionnaires, conduct interviews and collect data from minority religious communities in different cities of North Carolina.
