Alumna Named Johnson C. Smith University Vice President

Tami B. Simmons

Alumna Tami B. Simmons has been named vice president of Institutional Advancement for Johnson C. Smith University.

In her new role, Simmons will oversee fundraising and development, alumni relations, communications and marketing.

Previously, she served as executive director of Susan G. Komen Charlotte. She also has filled leadership positions for Wells Fargo, including senior vice president and director of corporate philanthropy for the eastern United States.

Simmons received her master's degree from North Carolina Central University. She also holds a bachelor's degree from Hampton University.
