NCCU Online Program Earns a Top 5 National Ranking

North Carolina Central University’s (NCCU) Online Hospitality and Tourism Administration Program was recently ranked fifth among the nation’s 25 best online bachelor’s degrees in hospitality management by College Choice, an independent online publication for college-bound students.

To determine the rankings, the organization examined acceptance rate, graduation rate, student-to-faculty ratio and tuition costs. NCCU’s Hospitality and Tourism Administration Program is noted for its combination of general business and industry-specific classes and electives, as well as a 1,000-hour working internship.

Eastern Carolina University, at No. 7, was the only other North Carolina online hospitality programs to be included on the 2017 list.

NCCU’s Online Hospitality and Tourism Administration Program is a 128-semester hour professional management program, where students are prepared with the knowledge, managerial skills, and competencies needed to obtain entry-level management positions and advance in leadership roles throughout the growing and dynamic industry. Alumni of the department are employed in lodging, food and beverage services, convention and visitors bureaus, event management, resorts, conference centers, cruise lines, airlines and other industries.

College Choice’s Best Hospitality Degrees website provides up-to-date information about degree programs preparing students for successful careers in the hospitality field. The annual rankings cover hospitality degree programs offered through leading accredited colleges in the U.S.
