Spring 2018 Deadline Dates for Current Graduate Students

The School of Graduate Studies would like to welcome all students, faculty and staff back to the verdant green.  We hope each of you had a restful and joyous winter break and holiday season.  Many of you will be taking the Foreign Language Exam, applying for admission to candidacy or for graduation, taking comprehensive exams, and completing projects or defending your thesis.  It is important that you are aware of all deadline dates.  See the below information for submission deadline dates.  These dates refer to deadline dates for submission to the School of Graduate Studies.  Please check with your department and other offices, such as the Registrar's Office, for their respective deadline dates.  Please note the deadline dates listed below and save a calendar reminder in your smart phone.  The School of Graduate Studies wishes you a successful semester. We know each of you will CRUSH it!

Friday, February 2, 2018
Last day to submit applications for the Foreign Language Exam to the School of Graduate Studies

Friday, February 2, 2018
Last day to submit to the School of Graduate Studies the Academic Approval Graduation Form and paper graduation applications for the May 2018 Spring Graduation, if the student is not applying online

Friday, February 9, 2018
Last day to submit online graduation application to the Registrar's Office

Friday, March 23, 2018
Last day for all students to submit spring 2018 Admission to Candidacy applications to the School of Graduate Studies to be reviewed by the Graduate Council during their meeting in April

Monday, April 23, 2018

  • Last day for all students to submit Comprehensive Written Exam Results to the School of Graduate Studies
  • Last day to submit thesis oral defense results to the School of Graduate Studies for Spring 2018
  • *Last day to submit thesis to ProQuest for review by the School of Graduate Studies
  • Last day to submit the list of students who successfully completed a non-thesis project to the School of Graduate Studies (List should include: Name, BANNER ID, Non-thesis Title)

*Student will not be cleared for graduation until their thesis has been approved by the School of Graduate Studies and the final submission to ProQuest has been made.
