Eagle Move-In Parking (Thursday, August 10)

North Carolina Central University will welcome the newest Eagles to campus beginning Thursday, Aug. 10,
during Eagle Move-In.
 
New students will arrive between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. To accommodate the move-in of students, all lots and
reserved spaces will close at 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 9 and reopen at 8 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 11.
 
To assist with traffic flow on move-in day, the Division of Student Affairs is asking faculty, staff and community
partners to park in one of our off-campus satellite locations as your campus parking space will be unavailable
during Eagle Move-in Day.
 
Round-trip shuttle service will be provided. The shuttles will be running from 5 a.m. to 6 p.m. for your
convenience. Satellite parking lot locations are:
 
Faculty and Staff
 
1. Peace Missionary Baptist Church, 2608 NC-55, Durham, NC 27713
     • Shuttle will depart every 15 minutes
     • Drop-off/Pick-up locations (W.G. Pearson Dining Hall; Intersection of Cecil and Lincoln Street)
     • Last trip departs NCCU at 6 p.m.
 
2. White Rock Baptist Church, 3400 Fayetteville St., Durham, NC 27707*
     • Shuttle will depart every 15 minutes
     • Drop-off/Pick-up locations (W.G. Pearson Dining Hall; Intersection of Cecil and Lincoln Street)
     • Last trip departs NCCU at 6 p.m.
 
*Please do not park on the left side of the parking lot entering from Fayetteville Street at the entrance next to
Beechwood Cemetery.
 
Community/Church Volunteers
 
1. St. Titus Episcopal Church (community volunteers only), 400 Moline St., Durham, NC 27707
     • Shuttle will depart every 6 minutes
     • Drop-off/Pick-up locations (W.G. Pearson Dining Hall and Latham Parking Deck on Lincoln Street)
     • Last trip departs NCCU at 6 p.m.
 
Traffic along Lawson Street (from Fayetteville Street to Alston Avenue) will be monitored by University Police.
