NCCU Art Museum to Host Works by Durham Public School Students

The North Carolina Central University Art Museum will showcase “Durham's Finest”, an annual exhibition of student art from Durham Public Schools from January 11-30, 2009.
 
Student artists will attend an opening reception on Sunday, January 11, 2009 at 2 p.m. at the museum.
 
Durham's Finest features works by Kindergarten through twelfth grade students in the Durham Public Schools.  Each school is represented by four works. This annual exhibition portrays the true strengths of the art program in the Durham Public Schools. It also illustrates the artistic talent and visual creativity of the area's youth.
 
The NCCU Art Museum is free and open to the public. The Museum is also handicapped accessible. Group visits may be arranged by calling (919) 530-62ll, between 9 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
 
Museum hours are Tuesday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Sunday from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
