Cisco Jabber

North Carolina Central University (NCCU) Information Technology Services (ITS) is pleased to offer a new resource innovating how faculty and staff communicate within the NCCU community. NCCU ITS embraces continuous service improvement and one of those items is Cisco Jabber.  Cisco Jabber is one of our new communication applications that allow users to connect with each other through a variety of devices.

Cisco Jabber is a telephone application tool designed to merge voice, messaging and video (this feature is coming soon). Your office phone will allow you to easily communicate and collaborate through instant messaging and phone calls, from computer to computer or from computer to phone with other NCCU participating faculty and staff members. 

Jabber works on devices such as:

  • Windows computers
  • Mac computers
  • iPhone and iPads
  • Android phones and tablets

Q. How do I get Jabber for Desktop, Mobile, iPad, or Tablet?

A. Call the Eagle Technical Assistance Center (ETAC) x7676 or Submit a ticket to  https://helpdesk.nccu.edu.  Once at the webpage 1. Select Client Portal, 2. Collaboration & Storage 3. Jabber Service Request. Complete and submit, and we’ll take care of the rest!

Q. How do I use Jabber after it has been set up?

Q. Is Jabber available for mobile devices?

Q. Is Training Available?

A. Yes. Individual and group training available. Please Submit a ticket through Help Desk x7676 or  https://nccu.teamdynamix.com/ Select Client Portal, Training, Request Service. Complete and submit.
