Passing of Eagle Tyson Mack

Mr. Tyson Mack

MESSAGE FROM CHANCELLOR: PASSING OF EAGLE, MR. TYSON MACK

Dear Eagle Community,

It is with extreme sadness that I announce the loss of an Eagle family member Mr. Tyson Mack, an environmental services technician, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 3, after a heroic battle with cancer.

Known for his fun-loving and humorous nature, Mr. Mack always brought a warm presence to the A.E. Student Union, where he served the NCCU community for the past three years within the Division of Student Affairs. He was very passionate about student success and worked each day to ensure that NCCU students felt supported on campus.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time. We will inform the university when those details are available.

We ask that you hold Mr. Mack’s relatives, friends and colleagues in your prayers and thoughts, especially his wife, Nakia Mack, and his daughter. He will be greatly missed.

In Truth and Service,

Johnson O. Akinleye, Ph.D.

Chancellor
