Alumnus Soars in Sales Industry

Tommy T. McNeil, ’93, has always known how to cultivate a high-performance sales culture. He was recently appointed as regional sales director for the Stirling Ultracold’s Southeast Business Unit, an energy-efficient biomedical manufacturer.  

In his new position, McNeil will manage, lead and develop a hybrid sales force and indirectly manage numerous distribution sales channels and markets capital equipment sales.

McNeil has experienced great success as a sales leader in the U.S. southeast region since 1997.

“While the keys to my successful career are dependability, impact, meaning, psychological safety, structure and clarity, nothing is more impactful than my solid education from North Carolina Central University’s School of Business,” said McNeil.

McNeil previously served as national sales consultant for MediPurpose and regional sales manager for TIDI Products LLC.

He has also worked in sales capacities with a number of companies, including Pfizer, Novartis and Bayer Pharmaceuticals. McNeil also served as a logistics human resource officer for the U.S. Airforce.

The Raeford, N.C., native earned his bachelor’s in business administration and marketing from North Carolina Central University in 1993. He is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
