DEEGS Students Completing Internships at NC-DOT

With the summer coming to an end, that means an end to summer internship for 2 NCCU graduate students, Nelson Holden and Steidrick Baker, at the North Carolina Department of Transportation.  Steidrick has worked on the Comprehensive Transportation Plan, providing valuable technical assistance in GIS and cartography to engineers and planners with little background in GIS.  Nelson has worked with the Photgrammetry unit.  Photogrammetry is the science of making measurements from photographs such as aerial imagery, topographic maps and planimetric maps.  Both have really enjoyed the professional atmosphere and application of skills learned in class as they finish up graduate studies at NCCU and prepare for the professional workforce.
