40 Under 40 Alumni Awards Opens Nominations

The Office of Alumni Relations is launching the nomination process for NCCU's “40 Under 40 Alumni Awards.”  The Forty Under Forty Alumni Awards were developed in 2012 to engage, re-engage, educate, honor and develop the next generation of advocates, donors and ambassadors for NCCU. Graduates under the age of forty comprise a third of the university’s alumni base.  These numbers will increase by at least 1,000 in each of the coming years. Since its founding, NCCU has produced alumni who have made a lasting impact in their communities and the world.  Honorees are selected by a committee of their peers, with support and assistance from University faculty and staff.  The Awards Gala will be held on Friday, September 12, 2014 at the Sheraton Imperial Hotel.

The program will recognize young alumni who have made significant contributions in the arts, entertainment, healthcare, sciences, education, law, business, entrepreneurship, philanthropy, public service and government.

Gala co-chairs are Renee Clark ’06, David Hart ’05, Jamie Patterson ’00, Frederick Ravin III ’05.

Nominations will open March 3, 2014 at 8 a.m. and close May 2, 2014 at 5 p.m. Nominations will not be accepted after this date.

  • They must be 40 or younger as of Jan. 1, 2014.
