NCCU Online Named Among Best In North Carolina for Value

North Carolina Central University’s (NCCU) online academic program, NCCU Online, is among the state’s top 20 most affordable online higher education options for 2018, according to a new report by SR Education Group.

SR Education Group, a higher education research organization, used information collected by the National Center for Education Statistics regarding tuition costs and quality of courses available in determining its top 20.

NCCU Online is part of University of North Carolina Online, which supports nearly 400 degree and certificate programs among the 17 higher education institutions in the UNC system.

NCCU Online offers bachelor’s and master’s degree programs in: Counseling (Master of Arts, School of Education); RN-to-BSN (Bachelor of Science, College of Behavioral and Social Sciences); Psychology (Bachelor of Science, College of Behavioral and Social Sciences);  Birth to Kindergarten (Bachelor of Science, College of Behavioral and Social Sciences); Hospitality and Tourism (Bachelor of Science, School of Business); Library and Information Sciences (Master of Science, School of Library and Information Sciences); and Criminal Justice (Bachelor of Science, College of Behavioral and Social Sciences).

Housed in the Division of Extended Studies, NCCU Online also offers certificate programs ranging from criminal justice and education to career and school counseling. Courses available online and in hybrid formats include: Faith-Based and Philanthropic Entrepreneurship; Dietetics; Information Policy and Management; Health Informatics; Security Studies; E-Learning; and Professional Food Service.
