Funeral Arrangements Announced for Fallen Eagle Devonte Squire

Funeral arrangements have been confirmed for Devonté Squire, a 20-year-old sophomore at North Carolina Central University, who passed away suddenly on Monday, February 10, 2014. Devonté, a theatre major from Weldon, N.C., was an active member of NCCU’s Department of Theatre. He was a talented actor and contributor to numerous productions.

A celebration of life service will be held on Monday, February 17, 11 a.m., at Compassion Worship Center located at 338 Roanoke Avenue in Roanoke Rapids, N.C. Transportation will be provided and a bus will begin accepting passengers at 8 a.m. at the Nelson Street Parking Lot next to the A.E. Student Union. It will depart at 8:30 a.m. sharp. The bus will return immediately following the service. Devonté will be buried at Gaston Baptist Church in Gaston,  N.C.
