Recipient of Innovation Grant Award

As selected by the University, Atty. Barry Shuster and co-investigator Dr. Brenda Jamerson of Duke University School of Medicine has been awarded the Innovation grant for their proposal “Enhancement of Comprehension of Informed Consent, Employing an Audio-Enhance Approach”.

These awards are designed to refine teaching strategies and empower faculty to impact the world by pioneering new approaches and solutions to some of the world’s most critical problems.

As a method of accelerating innovation and scholarship this award will help to propel their commitment to identifying the cause from which minorities are under-represented in cardiovascular, infectious disease, an oncology research.
