MAC Brothers

Group Playing Chess

Men who would like to be involved and connected to the Men’s Achievement Center are encouraged to join the MAC Brothers organization. This initiative focuses on brotherhood, mentorship, professional career development, academic skills, civic engagement, service learning, and manhood/masculinity. There is no cap to the number of new members each year; however, there is an induction ceremony each semester for new members who have satisfied the program requirements for induction, such as participating in a specific percentage of MAC activities and engaging in at least one community service project per semester.

MAC Brothers has a large focus on skills development that will allow our men to adjust to college life and prepare them to become global leaders upon graduation. Our peer mentor format allows our younger MAC Brothers to grow while learning from the brothers who paved the way before them.  Additionally, our engagement model allows all of our MAC Brothers to learn through active participation rather than lecture. Greater retention and graduation rates are the main goals for members of MAC Brothers.

For additional information about MAC Brothers, please email mac@nccu.edu or call 919-530-7814. To join, please complete the application
