October 4, 2008, facilitator of panel presentation for the annual conference of the North Carolina Association of Women Attorneys in Asheville, NC on the topic "The Role of Women Attorneys in Improving the Administration of Justice:  Race, Ethnicity and Gender"

November 20, 2008, presentation in Raleigh, NC for the private continuing education firm Lorman and Associates addressing a Special Topics session on multidisciplinary task forces in the day long CLE seminar "What You Need to Know About Public Records and Open Meetings"

On July 17th, 2008 at the 13th Biennial Legal Writing Institute (LWI) Conference in Indianapolis, Indiana, I was a part of a panel discussion on “Grading Rubrics and Electronic Grading.” My portion of the panel discussion included a 15-minute presentation entitled “Grading Rubrics: A Legal Writing Professor’s Life Insurance,” during which I explained the benefits of grading rubrics in an adjunct-staffed program and the necessity of engaging professors and students in composing rubrics, to make the use of grading rubrics a “win-win” situation for all.

On January 18, 2008
Professor Susan Hauser will speak at the North Carolina Bar Center, in Cary, North Carolina. The topic “Chapter 7:  Asset Protection for Individual Debtors.”  The seminar is titled “Who Says Bankruptcy is Boring?  Tips and Strategies for Legal Assistants,” and the manuscript was written by my talented Research Assistants, Sommer Murphy and Melissa Anderson.
