Change Your Google Apps Password 1. Sign into EagleMail (http://mail.eagles.nccu.edu) 2. Click on Settings 3. Click on the Accounts tab 4. Click on the Change Password link 5. You will be redirected to the Google Apps Password Change page 6. Enter your User Name 7. Enter your Active Directory password Note: This is the same username and password to log into computers on campus, checking your e-mail, etc. 8. Enter the password you want to use for your Google applications. 9. Retype your new password. 10. Click on the OK button. To enable IMAP in Eaglemail: 1. Sign in to Eaglemail (http://mail.eagles.nccu.edu) 2. Click Settings at the top 3. Click Forwarding and POP/IMAP 4. In the IMAP Access section, select Enable IMAP 5. Configure your IMAP client and click Save Changes Setup your your Outlook 2007 client: 1. Open Outlook 2007 2. Enter your display name, email address (username@eagles.nccu.edu), and password (Your Google Apps Password) 3. Select the 'Manually configure server settings or additional server types' checkbox, click Next 4. Select Internet E-mail 5. Settings: Name, Full Eaglemail address (username@eagles.nccu.edu) - In the Account Type dropdown menu, select IMAP - Incoming Server: imap.gmail.com - Outgoing Server: smtp.gmail.com - In the 'User Name' field, give your full Eaglemail address, (username@eagles.nccu.edu) 6. Select 'More Settings...' button 7. Select Advanced tab in Internet E-mail Settings - Incoming server must be 993, and must use SSL encryption - Outgoing server can use 587, TLS encryption 8. Click the Outgoing Server tab. Make sure that 'My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication' is selected. The radio button 'Use same settings as my incoming mail server' should also be selected 9. Cick OK > Next > Finish > Close > OK 10. Check our Eaglemail's recommended client settings, and adjust your client's settings as needed. |
