How Do I Setup EagleMail with a Windows Mobile 6 device?
  1. Sign into EagleMail (http://mail.eagles.nccu.edu) with your Active Directory user name and password.
  2. Click on the Settings link. If you do not see a "Settings" link, you may have to switch to basic HTML view at the bottom of the page.
  3. Click on Forwarding and POP/IMAP tab.
  4. Select Enable IMAP then click on the Save Changes button.
  5. Click on Accounts tab.
  6. Click on the Google Account settings link. You will be redirected to the "Google accounts" page.
  7. Click on the Change password link. You will be redirected to the "Google Apps Password Change" page.
  8. Enter the following information:
    • Active Directory user name. This is the same username and password to log into computers on campus, checking your e-mail, etc.
    • Active Directory password.
    • Google Apps password you want to use with your Google applications.
    • Retype your new Google Apps password.
    • Click the OK button.

      Note: It may take up to 15 minutes for your Google Apps password to take effect.
  9. Windows Mobile 6: Open the Start menu and select Programs > Messaging > New E-mail Account
    • Enter your EagleMail address ('YourUsername@eagles.nccu.edu') in the E-mail Address field
    • Uncheck the box that asks to get settings automatically from the Internet
    • Select Next
  10. Select Internet e-mail as your email provider in the drop-down menu
    • Enter your name as you want it to appear in sent emails
    • Enter a descriptive name for the email account
    • Select Next
  11. Enter 'imap.gmail.com' in the Incoming Mail Server field
    • Select IMAP4 as the Account type from the drop-down menu
    • Select Next
  12. Enter your EagleMail address and your Google Apps Password
    • Select Next
  13. Enter 'smtp.gmail.com' in the Outgoing (SMTP) Mail Server field
    • Make sure that the Outgoing server requires authentication box is checked
    • Select the Advanced Server Settings link
    • Make sure that the Require SSL box is checked for both incoming and outgoing emails
    • Select The Internet as the network connection from the drop-down menu
    • Select Done
    • Select Next
  14. Select how often you want your phone to send/receive emails from the drop-down menu
  15. For more download options, select the Review all download settings link
  16. Select Finish
