- Sign into EagleMail (http://mail.eagles.nccu.edu) with your Active Directory user name and password.
- Click on the Settings link. If you do not see a "Settings" link, you may have to switch to basic HTML view at the bottom of the page.
- Click on Forwarding and POP/IMAP tab.
- Select Enable IMAP then click on the Save Changes button.
- Click on Accounts tab.
- Click on the Google Account settings link. You will be redirected to the "Google accounts" page.
- Click on the Change password link. You will be redirected to the "Google Apps Password Change" page.
- Enter the following information:
- Active Directory user name. This is the same username and password to log into computers on campus, checking your e-mail, etc.
- Active Directory password.
- Google Apps password you want to use with your Google applications.
- Retype your new Google Apps password.
- Click the OK button.
Note: It may take up to 15 minutes for your Google Apps password to take effect.
- On Windows Mobile 5: Open the Start menu and select Messaging > New Account
- Select Other (POP3/IMAP) for your e-mail provider
- Select Next
- Enter your name as you want it to appear in sent messages
- Enter your Eaglemail address in the E-mail Address field
- Uncheck 'Attempt to obtain e-mail settings from the Internet'
- Select Next
- Enter your EagleMail in the User name field
- Enter your Google Apps Password in the Password field
- Leave the Domain field blank
- Select Next
- Select IMAP4 for the Server Type
- Enter a descriptive name for account in the Account name field
- In the Network field select how you want the device to connect to the Internet to access Gmail IMAP
- Select Next
- Enter imap.gmail.com in the Incoming Server field, and check Require SSL connection
- Enter smtp.gmail.com in the Outgoing Server field, and check Outgoing server requires authentication
- Select Outgoing Server Settings
- Make sure 'Use different user name for outgoing server' is NOT checked.
- Make sure 'Require SSL Connection' IS checked.
- Select Done
- Select Next
- You can change how much mail is downloaded to the phone. Adjust these preferences if desired, then select Next
- Select how often you want the device to automatically check for new messages, and select Next
- Select Finish
