The Graduate School recognizes the admission classification of special graduate students. Students admitted as special graduate students are not candidates for a degree. Special students are allowed to take a total of 9 credit hours only. If a graduate special wishes to take courses beyond the 9 credit hours they must apply to and be accepted into a degree program. They may take courses for graduate credit but may not later request that more than nine semester hours apply to any program leading to a master’s degree. Special students are not eligible for financial aid.
