On Thursday, Jan. 9, shortly before 6:30 p.m., the robbery of a cell phone was reported to NCCU Police.


The victim told police three men between the ages of 18 and 20 approached him behind New Residence Hall II, in the northeastern section of the campus.


The victim said one man asked to use his cell phone to call his brother. After he handed over the phone, another of the men punched the victim in the face and all three fled on foot, heading east on Dayton Street.

According to the victim, the three assailants were black males.


  • Suspect one is about 5 feet, 4 inches tall with a dark complexion and average build. He wore blue plaid pajama-type pants, a red toboggan and a black hoodie.
  • Suspect two is approximately 6 feet tall. He has a medium complexion, thin build and had his hair in braids. He was wearing black jeans and a black hoodie.
  • Suspect three is about 5 feet, 9 inches tall with a stocky build. He was also wearing black jeans.
