The purpose of the Tau Sigma National Honor Society is to acknowledge the academic accomplishments of the most academically gifted transfer students.  In the process, Tau Sigma assists the university in providing a welcoming atmosphere for NCCU’s transfer students.

Requirements
Students must have attended another school prior to NCCU for at least one year. They also must obtain a GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale (or the equivalent thereof) during at least one semester at NCCU.

• Develops an intellectually inviting academic and social environment for transfer students
• Encourages a peer networking and support system for all transfer student members
• Offers acknowledgment of transfer student success including at the annual Honors Convocation for Academic Achievement

The NCCU Transfer Advisory Board’s (TAB) mission is to develop programs that encourage a seamless transition for students transferring to NCCU. TAB is committed to providing support services, advocacy, networking opportunities, and programs to students transferring from other accredited institutions.

The board is comprised of current transfer students who develop programming that both integrates and educates current and prospective transfer students on ways to truly engage in the North Carolina Central University experience. 

By joining the board, you will have the opportunity to network with other transfer students, welcome new transfer students to the NCCU, and to impact processes and policies at NCCU.
