Week of Welcome

Students are expected to attend all WOW activities from August 10 to 17. Fall 2014 classes begin Monday, August 18.

All students should plan to move into their assigned residence hall room on Saturday, August 9. For more details on securing a residence hall room for fall 2014, visit www.nccu.edu/reslife.

WOW highlights will include:

  • NCCU Expectations Assembly
  • Community Service Organization fair - NCCU has a graduation requirement of 120 hours of service in the local community. 
  • Eagle Reading Experience Discussion Groups
  • Class of 2018 photo
  • "Keeping it Real" Peer Theatre Show: This interactive show presented by NCCU students will examine issues of alcohol and substance abuse, dating, sex, decision-making, life balance and more in a presentation that blends acting, comedy, music, visuals and audience participation.
  • "A Salute to New Eagles" - First-Year Convocation and Eagle Pinning Ceremony
  • Eagles on Target shopping trip
