New Student Orientation is designed to assist with your transition into life as an NCCU Eagle. As a transfer or non-traditional student (age 23 or over), you will take necessary placement tests, register for classes, learn how to log into your myEOL account, attend an important session on student accounting/financial aid, and have the chance to meet other new and current Eagle students.
2015 Summer Orientation Sessions
All incoming transfer students must attend one of the summer orientation sessions:
May 12 (closed)
All students must register and pay for New Student Orientation at least 7 days before the start of the session. There are no exceptions and walk-ins are not permitted. Students must submit their Enrollment Fee ($150 for transfer students) to secure their Orientation session. If your Enrollment Fee is not received by the time the session fills, you will not be able to attend that session. The number of students allowed to attend each session is limited. It is recommended that you register early to secure your session date and spot with the incoming class. Registration for all Orientation sessions close 7 days before the session begins.
The sessions will begin at 8:30 a.m. To register for New Student Orientation, you need a MyEOL account. To create an account visit www.nccu.edu/myeol. Enter the Banner ID number listed on your acceptance letter; it will start with the numbers 820. Your Banner PIN is your birthdate using the two digit month, two digit date, and last two digits of your birth year (MMDDYY). Enter your last name as written on your acceptance letter. Then click “verify my information” to complete the registration process.
Once you create an account, log-in from the NCCU homepage. You will then be prompted to register for New Student Orientation.
New Student Orientation for transfer students is a one-day program. The cost for New Student Orientation is included in your Enrollment Fee of $150. This includes meals, orientation materials, and Week of Welcome Programming. The cost is $25 for guests ages 14 and over, $15 for guests ages 9-14, and free for guests under the age of 9. These fees include meals, staffing, and orientation materials. All fees are non-refundable.
Note: When you register for New Student Orientation your $100 Enrollment Fee is included in your total cost.
Distance Education Students
If your degree program is completely online, you should register for the August 17 "Distance Education Students Only" session to submit your $100 Enrollment Fee. Once you have completed this process, you may contact the Distance Education Department to schedule an advising appointment.
