Driving Directions

From Interstate 40, take NC 147 North (exit 279 B) toward downtown Durham.  Exit at NC 55/Alston Avenue (Exit 11). Turn left on South Alston Avenue.  In about a half-mile, you will reach NCCU's campus. Consult our campus map to get a specific NCCU building or location.

Take Grove Street to Hwy 301 N. Take a left. Merge onto Interstate 95 North. Go 25 miles north on I-95 to I-40 junction. Take Exit 81 toward Raleigh (westbound on I-40). Go 49 miles on I-40 to NC 147 North (exit 279 B), toward Durham/Downtown. Merge on NC - 147.  Take the NC-55/Alston Avenue exit, (exit 11). In about a half-mile, you will reach NCCU's campus. Take I-40 E / I-85 N. When the road forks (past Burlington), bear left to remain on I-85 toward Durham.  Continue on I-85 for 9 miles to the Durham Freeway/NC 147 (Exit 172).  Follow NC 147 for 5 miles to Exit 11 (NC 55/Alston Avenue).  Turn right (south) on  Alston Avenue. In about a half-mile, you will reach NCCU's campus. Consult our campus map to get a specific NCCU building or location.

Take I-85 S. Take the Roxboro Road/Avondale Drive exit (Exit 177) and turn left onto Avondale Drive (NC 55).  Go 0.8 miles and turn right on Alston Avenue (remaining on NC 55).  Continue south on Alston for 2.2 miles to NCCU campus. Consult our campus map to get a specific NCCU building or location.
