Phyllis Gray serves as a part-time, adjunct instructor in the Department of Public Health Education. A health educator by training, her career is wide, varied, and includes serving as a program manger/consultant for the NC Division of Public Health, Special Assistant to two of North Carolina's State Health Directors; a Health Policy Analyst for the North Carolina General Assembly; and the Director for the Public Health Education Program - Wake Area Health Education Center. Her areas of special interest include HIV prevention and women's health promotion.
