Biography:
Dr. Laurell Malone is a native New Yorker and an assistant professor in the Master of School Administration Program in the Department of Educational Leadership, Research, and Technology at North Carolina Central University. She holds a Bachelor Degree in Biology from Earlham College, a Master of Arts Degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Virginia, a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in Educational Administration from Virginia Tech University, and a Doctorate of Educational Administration from Virginia Tech University. She has 30 years of experience in education as a teacher, principal, educational consultant, teacher coach, facilitator, and college instructor. Dr. Malone?'s specialty areas include school leadership, curriculum leadership, curriculum development and design, interactive teaching, environmental education, and Praxis Preparation. The importance of power, commitment, creativity, and self-efficacy to professional success and achievement is emphasized throughout her courses, workshops, and presentations.
